struggling setting up VNC [work < - > home]

I finally got VNC/screen sharing set up on my home network but I am struggling on how to set up a VNC from my home computer and my laptop at work. Most tutorials focus on local networks which I got working.

Any tutorials on how to get one set up is appreciated (WRT54GL is my wireless router if thats needed)

Also has Tekzilla ever done an episode on VNC?
