Stubborn Desktop

I did a search for these forums as well for anything that might help, but no luck.

With my new computer, I'm having trouble setting a custom desktop. Every time I put in a new picture -- even those pre-installed on the system, it reverts back to the default Aqua picture. Any solutions/suggestions?

Try trashing the ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist file and reboot. Then change the desktop image again.

Edit: The ~/ is your users home folder, btw.
