I have a downloaded application file on my desktop that whenever i try to delete it says "The operation can’t be completed because the item “sixtyforce” is in use." It was an N64 emulator. What can i do to force delete this? or make it stop being used? Thanks :apple:

Just log out and log back in then delete it or look for it running in Activity Monitor and end the process then delete.

okay i tried that and i couldnt find anything in the activity monitor that looked like the app i am trying to delete.

If you can't find it and it didn't work just logging in and back out just restart and then you should be able to delete it.

i have now logged out and then back in at least 2 times then i restarted my laptop, and looked in the Activity Finder for it, also i tried to just delete it and still the same message.
