Stubborn File!?

I have a downloaded application file on my desktop that whenever i try to delete it says "The operation can’t be completed because the item “sixtyforce” is in use." It was an N64 emulator. What can i do to force delete this? or make it stop being used? Thanks

Just log out and log back in then delete it or look for it running in Activity Monitor and end the process then delete.

okay i tried that and i couldnt find anything in the activity monitor that looked like the app i am trying to delete.

If you can't find it and it didn't work just logging in and back out just restart and then you should be able to delete it.

i have now logged out and then back in at least 2 times then i restarted my laptop, and looked in the Activity Finder for it, also i tried to just delete it and still the same message.
