Hello,
I jailbroke yesterday, and couldn't have been happier. I had my Touch 8GB (1.1.4), and the latest version of ZiPhone (tested for 1.1.4), and iTunes 7.6.1 (or whatever the latest is). So, I jailbroke, it went smoothly, I ejected, and sat around all day enjoying my newly JB'd Touch.
So this afternoon, I decided to sync it. I did, seemed to go smoothly, I eject it, It gives me this little message blabbering about how you can move the icons around the screen simply by holding on... etc (like what it said when I first installed the January Soft. Update). Anywho, I clicked 'OK', and it pops back up. No matter what I did, it kept popping back. So, I plug into iTunes, sync... nothing. I force a restore, it restores, and I'm back to where I was 2 days ago (apparently clean iPod Touch 1.1.4).
What did it for me? Was it the iTunes? Was it just a flook?
Thanks.
UPDATE! : I re-jailbroke it, with the same iTunes version and everything, and without even syncing it after install, it got stuck in the 'Icon rearrange' info message loop of death. So, I must restore again. I shall attempt again after downgrading iTunes.
UPDATE 2: SOLVED! I ignored an error message while installing the BSD Subsystem, so I when I tried to change my iPods SSH password, SpringBoard kept crashing. So, Don't change the password in the SSH.
