Stuck at apple logo after erase all contents and settings, cant turn off or enter DFU

Hey everyone,

I'm in a little bit of a pickle, had two iphone 3GS running on god knows what (not my phones) both of them had "Erase all contents and settings" ran on it and now they are both stuck at the apple logo and wont load anything.

Cant even shut off when holding down both power and home buttons on either phone. Only thing that happens is when the phone runs out of battery and I charge it, it shows the lightening bolt charging icon and then it goes to the apple logo again.

Any ideas?
