stuck in apple logo with spinning circle

when I start up the Mac the apple boot logo and spinning circle goes on an on I do get to the login screen that comes before this apple spinning circle screen how to fix?

I'm not understanding the problem... but I also happened to me (if I understood your problem). When you get to the login screen, use the tab key instead of clicking on the password textbox, then type in your password and press enter.
