I need some help or more things to try.

I've got an iPhone 6 running 11.1, public beta 5 (latest version). Last night while using my phone, the screen froze, so I did a hard reset and it came back to life. Froze again after just a few seconds, so I did another hard reset. It's been stuck on the white apple logo ever since.

I've charged it fully overnight. I've tried hard resets (power and home buttons), but it just gets stuck at the white apple logo.

I've been trying to use iTunes to update and just install the regular version of 11.1, but I cannot get the phone to go into recovery mode. I've tried every combination of rebooting while connected to iTunes, home button only while connected, etc, but it won't bring up the recovery mode screen. iTunes does give the message that there is a problem and I need to update or restore. I select update (trying to not lose all the data on my phone) and after several unsuccessful attempts, it finally said it was downloading software and that it would install once downloaded. I thought I was home free.

But my phone reboots to white apple logo during the middle of the process and iTunes no longer shows the phone as connected.

Even though the phone screen never gave the recovery mode screen, iTunes is now showing it's in recovery mode and preparing to update the software. I've seen this before, but the phone reboots and stops the process.

I'm at a loss. Any suggestions on how to force the phone into recovery mode and/or break the boot loop cycle so I can try to update ... or worst case scenario to restore as new?

Thanks for any input. I had to resort to using an old iPhone 4 rocking iOS 7 just to get by for the day. I know this could be my excuse to just go buy a new phone, but I don't want to lose the data on my current phone. My fault - don't have a very recent backup.

Thanks for any help.

Do you have another lightning to USB cable you can try? Or another USB port?

Have tried two different cables and two different USB ports on my iMac. Same result. I have literally been trying everything for the past 4 hours.
