I picked up a 2011 MBP and the headphone port is stuck in digital out. No option for internal speakers or headphones. Sometimes the red light appears, but most of the time it's off with no audio. I've tried cleaning it, blowing it out, poking. No luck. I don't care about using headphones so much as using the internal speakers. I can always pick up a USB jack dongle. I've searched for Terminal commands to disable the SPDIF output, but only found this on the Fedoraforums and I can't get that command to work. What are my options for dealing with this messed up port? It's in good shape otherwise and got a pretty good deal.
