I messed up trying to JB my iTouch 2G (non MC) which was at FW: 2.2.1.

I used Redsn0w 9.4 thinking i could extract a custom ipsw for 3.1.2 which I inputted. It started to go through the process and to my surprise, it was trying to JB my iTouch. I let it run through and it is now in the Recovery Mode.

I now know I should not have used Redsn0w 9.4 until my firmware was at 3.1.2 to JB. I tried many attempts to upgrade to 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 without success, so I was trying to get a custom ipsw to restore for JB.

Can someone advise me on my options. I gather there is no way of getting back to 2.2.1 or any other firmware update other than the latest 4.1??

Is 4.1 my only option?? Any help appreciated.

Update:

I updated to 4.1 firmware using iTunes 10. iTunes 9.0 would not let me. I am going to try to JB with Redsn0w 9.6b1 for 4.1 firmware.
