iPhone 13 Pro Max stuck in restore from iCloud

so I am setting up new iPhone 13 pro Max and its stuck in restore from iCloud and the time remaining is under estimating. anybody else had this issue today?

How long has it been like that? It can take a whlie, especially today when lots of people got a new phone and are also trying to restore. if it’s been less than an hour I would probably let it keep going. If it’s been more than an hour then you might want to reset it and try again.

I might give a little more time, especially it seems to be making any progress. But if it has made no progress at all in an hour then I’d reset it and try again.

I’ve been stuck at 1 GB remaining for hours… no idea what’s going on.

Someone else had posted a message earlier that their restore paused when the phone got too hot. Is it possible that’s what’s happening here?

I’m having similar problems with my iPad mini I just got. I restored from another iPad’s iCloud backup and under the Restore in Progress section in settings, it’ll whittle down to 100MB left and will stay like that for hours. I try to clear some space and the estimated space needed just grows back to 3.5GB. It never finishes.
