Stuck in Restore Mode -2G

Hi,
I am using an iphone 2G.
While upgrading to ver.2.2 with Pwange (on a Mac of course) I get stuck.
At the end iTunes 8.02- requests a restore - But this restore does not complete.
At the end the iPhone does not start/mount in iTunes but remains with the pineapple logo flashing slowly. Forever. Where do I go from here ?

Finally worked it out by going at it again and again...and again
