Stuck installing macos

So I've tried 2 different usbs trying to install el caption on my mac, it's currently got no os (well a very broken version of big sur on my 2011 15" macbook pro) and I cannot get it to boot. Inside of the big sur it will open el captain and half install before my computer crashes but it won't open during recovery (option or command + r) I've even tried the lion install in the recovery but nothing seems to work... I've currently just formatted my hard drive and still nothing... can anyone help me
