How are all you folks on 16 and beyond?
I bought an M1 iPad Pro a year and a half ago on the promise that the device would be so much more than what an iPad has been— and what I was really hoping for was something more like a Mac. But NOTHING (or very little) has changed.
I come here to see everyone on 16. I’m frustrated.

It was supposed to be available Over a month ago.

iPadOS 16.1 was indeed released in October. Do you have a profile for iPadOS 15 betas installed? If so, remove that.

You could grab the full IPSW and update that way, instead of going over the air. Grab it from the links at iClarified or IPSW.me, drop it onto your Mac, plug in your iPad Pro, hold down Option while clicking on Check for Updates, select the IPSW file you downloaded, and off you go.

Obviously, make a backup of your iPad prior to updating.

Updating from the Mac’s finder doesn’t work.
I don;’t believe that I’m on a beta— although I usually play around with betas, so it’s not beyond the realm of possibility. Where would I look to find out for sure? General/About/Software Version is 15.7.1. There is nothing about a beta profile anywhere in the software update pane.

Edit: Just found it under General/VPN & Device Management!
Thanks all!

It should. It's worked on everything of mine from a 6s to a 11 Pro. In fact, that is the only way now to do it, since they took the iOS App store out of the Music and App Store apps.
