My 3GS is still on 3.1.2 and jailbroken, i only connected it to iTunes once and that was probably like 2 yeats ago, so i have installed tons of apps and today my iPhone is stuck on Apple boot logo for hours. I don't want to loose everything and install OS 4, i want to stick to 3.1.2, what shall i do?

If this won't kick it out of its sour mood, you may have to cut your loses. However a great learning moment for you. BACK UP!!! You should sync and back up your iPhone with iTunes at the very least once a month. Good luck

Backup backup backup... I sync/backup my phone almost every other day. However, this is probably the exception for most, but make it a habbit of doing so, at least every few weeks. My wife go her phone a week after me (early July) and has synced/backed up at most twice... She did this with her 3G and wondered why it was sooooo slow when she was backing up before she traded it in on her 4G. Somethings are so simple, yet over looked by so many people.
