Hey guys,

i'm really new to the forum world, in fact, i signed up a few minutes before i started this thread.

so here's my problem.. i have an ipod touch 4g which is currently running ios5, i jailbroke it not long ago using redsn0w 0.9.9b6, which as you know is tethered.

Whenever i boot the ipod it gets stuck on the apple logo, but when i plug it into my laptop to boot it through redsn0w, my computer says the device is not recognized. I've tried putting the device into recovery mode, dfu mode, I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers.. but still nothing.

any ideas?

I'm pretty sure before you boot it back up you need to put it in dfu mode, then use redsnow to boot it back up.

I read this some where.

Oh and welcome to Macrumors.
