So, last night I decided to give jailbreakme ago, I'm running 4.0 on iPhone 3Gs. I try to install it a few times and it just crashed every time, nothing appeared to be installed, so I thought I just give up as I obviously have no clue what I was doing. The phone was fine for the rest of the night until it ran out of charge, I plugged it in and it has been stuck on the apple Screen for about 15hrs, won't fully charge either.

Sooo, moving on to the restore in iTunes, I get it into recovery mode, thinking wow it must not be over yet. Then Bam (ERROR 3194) I have searched the web far and wide even tried to install older firmwares, no luck all come up with the same error. Also tried iRecovery for windows program crashes and closes.

I'm really at a loss as what to do? Someone please help. Add me on Facebook if it's easier to chat about it. http://www.facebook.com/zoe.cusker.

Thanks in advance :)

This is the Error repost if it's any help:

If you're trying to restoring back to 4.0, that's why you're getting the error message. The only you can go back to 4.0 is if you've saved the SHSH in Cydia or TinyUmbrella.

Otherwise the only option is to go to 4.2.1
