Hello,

I got the ok from Apple to return my 17" Glossy 5400.

I was going to upgrade to the 17" AG 7200 drive.

From what I read, the 7200 is much faster.
But I am unsure as to go AG or not.

I would be embarrassed to have to exchange it again.

I am getting to the point of just buying an imac and then I would not have to deal with the glare from where my desk is.

Thanks

What are your uses for needing AG? What are your uses for needing glossy?? Those are two very different extremes and unless you have a particular need for one of them, it's on you to choose a team...

If what you want is a fast hard drive, go with an SSD.

Good luck!

I just thought I could use the AG in more places.
Also, I thought the AG would cause less eye strain.

SSD is too small, I want at least 500gig.

funny, AG displays makes my eyes hurt, their all blurry and fussy, glossy, cleaner deeper colors and crisp edges.

regarding the SSD i have the apple 128GB SSD in my main HDD bay and a 500GB seagate 7200 rpm drive in the optibay. (now, how to install windows with no optical drive...)

I have the high rez antiglare 15" screen and it is clear, bright and have a good colour profile. It has no sparkly effect as some anti glare screens have. It's very easy on the eyes.

Go for the anti glare as you will be tired faster with reflections that have to be ignored by the brain.

Lastly, don't feel embarrassed when it comes to exchanges, ever. If something is not right for you then take it back.
