Hi there,

I updated my MBP today (it was the firmware update + 10.7.2). DUring the update, it said that installation of 10.7.2 failed. The computer restarted and now it keeps on freezing on the grey screen (it shows the apple logo, with the loading whirl thingy under it).

I can boot into my Windows partition, which is good, so I can at least backup my files. But is there a way to fix this thing without sending it for repairs or reinstalling Lion on it?!?

Thanks
Kousha

Try boot it with diskwarrior and repair the os x volume. Should fix your problem.

Before DW try booting into safe mode by turning on the computer when the grey screen comes up hold down the shift key. Another thing I would try is starting the computer while holding CMD+OPT+P+R you here the computer beep keep holding it until it beeps again.
