Stuck on loading apple...

i have a jailbroken iphone 3g. It was jailbroken and it froze then it reset but its been stuck on the black screen with the loading apple for two days now. problem is the sleep/wake button on top is broken so i cant do the hold sleep and home button to do a hard reset. when batt is low it shows the battey low symbol with the red and the lighting bolt indicating that it needs charge but once its charged it goes back and stays to the apple loading screen.
