Hello everyone. I have a problem that keeps on appearing more often on my Mac. I have a 2009 Macbook Pro 2.66 Ghz and when I go into the System Preferences and change the graphics from Better Battery Life to Higher Performance, it prompts me to logoff. It stays on a blue screen with a spinning loading wheel for about 30 seconds and then reaches to the login screen. However, the login screen has a blue tint and it won't let me type in my password (the cursor on the password box was blinking and sometimes the mouse gets unresponsive). This forces me to forcibly shut down with the power button. The problem is appearing more often than before.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance.
