Student Promo free iPod Touch in Canada

Hi,
I'm in the market for a MBP and would like to take advantage of Apple's promo for students (since I will be returning to school in September); I'd like to get the free 8 GB Touch. I'm assuming this annual promo applies to the Canadian Apple store and not just the US. Does it start at the end of May? Are these Touch's 3rd G?

I think they have it in canada too, they do in HK and Beijing but there's no free iPod.

It usually goes from the end of may to sept 8ish.

The 8GB 3rd gen iTouches are actually just 2nd Gen Touches. Same hardware.
You'd want the 16GB version if you want the one with the NEW hardware, and CPU (Like the iPhone 3GS).

You can use the $229 voucher towards a 16GB iPod touch IIRC.
Don't forget the free printer also.
