i just ordered a policy from http://www.collegestudentinsurance.com/

and i thought it was a good deal, so i thought i'd share.

i got $2000 coverage (should be plenty for my macbook pro, iphone, and textbooks -- all that really matters i think)

for $60 a year with $5 processing fee and NO DEDUCTIBLES.

the site and policy (http://www.collegestudentinsurance.com/CSIPolicy.pdf) all make it clear that accidental damage is covered, and i even called up and confirmed that if i dropped my iphone, it would be covered.

am i missing something? it seems like a solid deal for me.

oh and it also covers theft, which is probably very important for college students.

Looks safe - I'll check it out a little more later this afternoon. Thanks for the link!

I wonder, it sounds great. Almost too good to be true. I hesitate with things like that! Let us know if you ever file a claim and whats it like at that point.

I'm thinking about getting this, but the policy clearly says it excludes "articles made largely of glass." Do you think they would deny iPhone 4 claims since it is a glass sandwich?

you guys can also check out http://www.nssi.com/
Just renewed my policy with them after a year, they replaced the bike and iphone 3gs that were stolen in about ~3 wks after faxing in the paperwork. All they asked for is a policy report from campus police.

yea i have had good experiences with CSI. havent used it on any apple products but i have used it on a water damaged cell phone and xbox so far.well worth the money!

did you specify iPhone 4?
I see it says accidental damage and shows a pic of an iPhone 3G or 3Gs, but it may be different with the iPhone 4.

I will be *continuing* my education at the end of August so sounds like a great deal!!! :)
