Studio display, AppleCare or not to AppleCare, that is the question???

I always get AppleCare. It has saved me substantial money in the past, but the main reason I buy it is simply to have some peace of mind so I don't obsess over every detail.

I am a total skeptic of extended warranties, but with Apple I always get Apple Care.

I like how there is now a monthly/annual option for most products instead of just 2 years.

For the Studio Display, that shakes out to under $5 a month -- an easy decision for me. Especially given all the sophistication going on here as compared to a typical monitor (A series SOC, camera, speakers, fans, strange power connector, etc.)

Not me.
My 2011 27" Thunderbolt is at 11 years and still going strong - I have 2 still working.

I only buy AC+ for laptops and tablets.

My 2022 ASD will be 1 year warranty + credit card doubling benefit (2 years).

Mind if I ask which credit card doubles your benefits? I ask as this used to come up a lot when I worked retail sales a lifetime ago back in college (this is where my skepticism of extended warranties came from!)

I probably won't change course with this order, having opted for the 3% cash back via Apple Card, but I am curious for other purchases elsewhere, etc.

Yearly absolutely. Peace of mind is priceless for such an expensive display.

Sure, Citibank Prestige, Amex Platinum, Chase Ink, X1 and BofA.

I used my X1 Card to get the extra 12 months.
I should have used my Citibank to get the 24 months.
