Studio Display no audio from Nvidia M1000M thunderbolt

I am using the ASD sometimes with a Windows laptop with Nvidia Quadro M1000M card connected with the Apple tb3 cable. Tried also other tb3 cables with same results.
Never succeeded to get the audio working on the monitor. Windows shows "no audio capable monitor" and "no usb audio devices".
Is anyone able to get audio working on ASD from a Nvidia card with thunderbolt?
