Hey,

Does anyone know, if running the Studio Display via a Thunderbolt Dock such as the CalDigit Elements Hub if the fans/heat in the Studio Display reduce?

Although the fans aren't loud in the display, it's bugging me (especially as they run 24x7 even when my connected MacBook Air is asleep...)

I'm thinking if I can charge the MacBook via the Dock, that'd stop the Display needing to run as hot, as it's not powering the Mac?

Thanks :)

I use a Caldigit TS3+ with the ASD from day one, and it seems running fine.

Where my ASD is in my house is not completely quiet, but it's not noisy either, I've never heard the fan on the ASD, though, I think the fan does work, as if I put my finger on top of the display, there is very mild cool air come out of it.
