Studio Monitors or Studio Headphones

Many years ago I listened to a pair of O.5 and the original 1's and I thought they were great little monitors. ( I ended getting a pair of Richard Allan 8's direct from the manufacturer in the UK. They're fantastic .. any mix translates beautifully.) If the Alesis you've indicated are anything like their predecessors I'm sure they'll be very useful to you and I would personally favour the use of monitors rather than headphones.
