Stuffit crashes-- reinstall did not work

Stuffit crashes upon trying to unzip files, and I can't get it to work.
I would either like to fix it somehow, or more preferred, get my computer to use Archive Utility App. by default on ZIPs. I like it just fine.

This is a bugger because stuffit tries and crashes first and brings up a dialogue window.

Any suggestions???

(Installing Leopard did not fix the problem, nor did reinstalling stuffit numerous times)

Uninstall stuffit. If Archive Utility doesn't handle a needed file type, use The Unarchiver (much smaller and less intrusive than stuffit).
