Hi.

For some unknown reason, stuffit expander has ceased to operate properly on my machine. Instead of expanding .rar files and the like it would suggest that it was doing so (progress bar) and yet when the expanding finishes, the files/folder are nowhere to be found.

and now I don't even get the progress bar.

any ideas guys?

cheers.

yeah that was my first thought.

probably should have mentioned it.. sorry!

hmm.. it is at least suggesting that it is expanding again but the files are still nowhere to be found afterwards..

Ive got this same problem, I think Ive figured out how to solve it (using UnRarX). However, while I was trying to do it with Stuffit and it wasnt leaving the files behind, it still used up my hard drive space. So basically while it was expanding and leaving nothing visible behind it used up about 6 gigs on my desktop (where it was supposed to be expanding to).

When I do "get info" on my desktop it shows that there is over 6 gigs on there, but when I highlight everything on my desktop and "get info" on it, theres only about 4 mgs.

Any ideas how I can find this mystery stuff thats taking up my hard drive space??? (Same thing happened on my external hard drive when I tried it on there as well).

Help please!!
