stupid battery question

is it bad to plug in your phone every night even if there is still 50% or more charge? not sure if this is bad for the battery. thanks.

oh yeah, one more battery related question, since i use my phone for business and constantly use speaker phone, is it bad if i constantly have my phone plugged in even when charged and i'm on the phone? thanks

I always plug my iPhone 3Gs in at night. Even if it's only at 75%. I haven't noticed anything funny happening with my battery life so I'd guess it's ok to do. It is fine if you make a call and charge it at the same time. The only thing to worry about is it getting too hot. If it does get to hot I'll protect itself by turning off.
