Hey guys,

I've followed all the tips on how to make a custom ringtone from a song on my library.

I've edited the file down to 29 seconds, imported the mp3 into iTunes, converted to AAC, found the folder containing the m4a and renamed to m4r, dragged the m4r into iTunes, where it has been placed in the "Ringtones" section of my library. However, when I sync my iP4, it does not sync into the "Ringtones" section of the iPhone. The file is m4r and 29.543 seconds long.

Any help?

Ok, so I selected "manually manage..." in the iPhone options and manually dragged the m4r to the iPhone. It worked.

HOWEVER, I want to be able to automatically sync my library and apps, and when I unchecked the manual option, it removed the ringtone from my iphone the as soon as it synced.

Any more ideas?

Where exactly is this? I do not see "Sync Ringtones". Thank you for your help.

Click on your iPhone on the left hand side, and then...

I am using a PC. I do not see that

I use a PC as well....and you do see that. First you need to click on your iPhone icon on the left of the iTunes screen. Then you will see that screen as shown in the picture...select Ringtones...select Sync Ringtones.

Thank you Thank you!!!!!! I was just having a hard time finding the iPhone tab. Ringtones have been added :D
