I probably should know this by now, but I somehow missed it. I want to use different views in Finder for each of my most commonly used folders. For instance, I'd like to view my Documents folder as a list, my videos/pictures as coverflow, my home folder as icons, etc. The problem is that when I set my videos folder to coverflow, for example, everything else becomes coverflow also . Is there a way for each folder to have its own predefined view? Thanks

Select the folder, the type of view you want, then press Apple-J to get the viewing options for that folder. You can then make the selected view one :)
