Stupid Question - Able to make total copy from New MBP to MB - And have everything OK

(No way could I do this on 2 PC's) Driver Problems / Incompatibility / Video.

I have 2 Mac - MP Intel Core Duo (2 years old) / MBP 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ( 6 months old)

Need to travel lite so will take MB which hasn't been used for 6 months.
Will this work ?

Make SuperDuper! Copy of MBP onto External Drive then SuperDuper! onto MB.

Will everything function right?

I'd suspect you'd have issues. Different CPUs, hence possibly different OS installations.

However, Applications->Utilities->Migration Assistant should do the trick for all you need. I'd do a fresh install of the OS first if you have time, but even that's not required.

Assuming you have the OS install disks, though, and the time, you could always try it.

Note that you could start the MB up in Target disk mode and Super Duper directly onto its drive.
