Got an company-wide email from the sys admins that no devices that don't support Active Synch are to be connected to the company network - explicitly listing iPhones and CrackBerrys (they ditched Rimm because of the cost some time ago - much to the whining of the addicts).

Of course I had to point out to then that their draconian edict would soon NOT include the iPhone... They really should try and keep up with current technology. :D

Wow I can't imagine a company that doesn't support Blackberries.
I thought my company was in the stone ages with technology.

Ironically, it is an IT services and support company. Just as well customers don't get a look at our IT infrastructure before signing the contracts for us to manage theirs...

Fun and games once at a customer site. The company-provided notebook (a Dell) packed in. But I was able to dazzle em by pulling out my MacBook and firing up Parallels to finish the job. :D Tempting to get a MBA - as it would cut down on the weight and bulk of hauling two notebooks about.
