Just thought I'd share a relatively small, yet amusing (to me) discovery I recently made.
When saving an Excel 2007 workbook into either 2007 or 2003 formats and then opening it in Excel 2003, it doesn't cary over the 2007 color pallet and makes (oftentimes hideous) best guesses when showing the colors. You can specify the colors and correct this one by one through an option buried in the bowels of the office sphere menu or with code to automate it.
Numbers, however, seems to just do all of this automatically for you when you export to an Excel format without even hinting to you that there was ever even a problem in the first place. lol. Smooth Microsoft, smooth.
