Hi everyone,

On a writing course, the teacher gave us a demo version of stylewriter. It's software to analyse your text and to find common mistakes in them. If goes way beyond counting the number of words and sentences.

http://www.stylewriter-usa.com/stylewriter.html

It's very useful to analyse your text in this manner, and I am looking for the mac equivalent. I am not interested in an editor (I use pages and LaTeX), but in the analysis itself. An open source, command line tool is also fine by me.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

An answer I hope

Hi there Mr Fusion,
been looking for the same thing. Spent some time recently and there appears to be a similar solution called Spell Catcher at http://www.rainmakerinc.com/

I cannot vouch for this at all as I have not tried it yet, (my lovely corporate web will not let me download anything!), will do so next time I get home.

But it seems to offer similar function to Stylewriter which I have used for years and loved in the Windows world - jus hated being on Windows!

Good luck and hope this helps.
