Stylus for browsing

I realize this probably seems ridiculous, but I have found my self being kind of anal bout the finger prints I get on the screen of the iPad when Im just messing around with it. I prefer to use a stylus since I have an external keyboard hooked up to it, and I wanted to ask what everyone thinks is a good stylus option for just daily use. No note taking or drawing, so the importance of a stylus that specializes in those functions is minimal. I ended up buying a couple of these cheap ones off of amazon, and they just seem really breakable.

Anyone have good experience with using a stylus in this fashion? This is my first venture into the touch screen industry so Im quite new to the whole thing.

I get it. I prefer using a stylus because my hands get dirty on the job site all day.

Those are fine for the purpose you've indicated. Any of the cheaper rubber tipped ones are fine for just pointing and navigating around the screen.
 
You will go thru the sponge ball phase like we all did, and then finally you will realize that you want something that doesn't drag .....for that, for 15 bucks get the Ifaraday.com "artist"

How is it for drawing?

I'm looking for a stylus for taking notes, writing as well as drawing. Obviously I'd use it for browsing too.

Is this a good choice?
 
Instead if a stylus, you could carry a microfiber cloth in your case. Styluses seem bigger than ever now. If my fingers are dirty I just use my nose.

Thats a really helpful response, thanks! Next time ill make sure I'm more clear and clarify that Im not asking how to clean my screen and instead am asking for advice on a general purpose stylus. But again, thanks so much for the advice!

I see the site, but I am looking for hands on exp.

I'm looking at both the Artist and iFaraday RxII, as well as the Adonit Jot Pro and Wacom Bamboo stylus.

I'll be using it 100% for writing and note taking, I'll provide links to each:

700 bucks for a pad and then scouring the web for 5 dollar junk...I'll never understand it....Do what makes you happy.

First off, thank you for your help in identifying a good option and what to look for in a stylus but I have to say your presumptions are completely unfounded. You have no idea how much Ive spent on accessories for this iPad, in fact its completely irrelevant. If you don't know about the stylus I asked your opinion on just say it. If the one you recommended is what you have experience with then thats cool, but don't act like you need to set me straight on my shopping techniques. Thanks again for letting me know what you thought would be a good stylus for what I was looking for. I do very much appreciate that.
 
Seriously there are some cheapo ones that work just fine. Mine was .99 on eBay from China, I just got it recently and it works great for my drawing apps, glides nicely and is responsive. It looks exactly like the Targus, Griffin etc...they're probably the same thing with different branding.

Also it's metal and sticks itself right onto my iPad where the smart cover is, pretty neat.

Edit: ok the ones you linked look just like mine, they may or may not be the same too but mine doesn't seem breakable at all. I'm really quite happy with it, and the price can't be beat!

iFaraday RX 2 works great! I have it, and I had the original RX. It was great as well. The few issues people seemed to have with it were remedied in the RX 2. I also have an Adonit Jot Pro. It is a beautiful instrument (more so than the RX 2), but just does not work as well. And for browsing, the Jot Pro is just too noisy.
