Stylus that docks with the Apple Smart Cover

Just spotted this and decided to post it here: Motive Stylus. It's a stylus that sticks to your iPad's smart cover through the magic of magnets, so it won't fall off or get in the way. Looks decent.

Minimum pledge of $30 on Kickstarter to pre-order one, though it seems you can get one for $20 if you back it early.

This is a great idea! I just wonder how it writes... I have a Jot-pro that I love because of it magnetically attaching to the front cover. I will be interested to see the quality of the finished product. I might just pledge the $20 to see how it is...

I love the idea! But it seems as though it could have been done in a simpler way. Now I am no great inventor or engineer, but what if it kept the same shape as a pencil, except one side has a magnet, so it couldn't have to unroll to stick to the smart cover surface. Nonetheless, this is an excellent device, and I wish you the best of luck.

my Wacom stylus used magnets too...but that has been lost for a month or so now...I should have made sure it as attached.

I think this one will attach much tighter.

I like this one better, Doesn't lay flat like the one you pointed out. But the clip attaches to the smart case's magnet also, and can be removed if need be. But i think this stylus will perform better overall.
