Hi D....,
I apologize, while Beamer 1.7 and later are compatible with the Apple TV software 6.0, subtitles selected from the app will not show when the Subtitle Language setting is configured to a specific language.
Were indeed working on a solution and changing our test process to prevent these kinds of bugs in the future. In the meantime, we suggest that you set the Subtitle Language setting to Auto.
If thats inconvenient for you, another option is to change the filename of the subtitle to make it show automatically.
Put the subtitle file next to the movie file (in the same folder), give it the same name as the movie file and add a language code at the end.
For example, if you have a movie named Return of the Penguins.m4v the Dutch subtitle file should be named Return of the Penguins.nl.srt
Subtitle files that start with the same name as the movie file (excluding extension) and are in the same folder as the movie will be added automatically. They should appear in the Beamer menu under Controls > Subtitles menu after you open the movie.
This workaround does not work with subtitle files dragged onto Beamer or loaded from the Controls > Subtitles menu.

I updated Apple TV 6.0 then updated Beamer. I try to set subtile to watch some movie with .srt. one is working but few movies are not working. Need to fix update software for subtitle issues, hopefully.
