I am posting this for anyone looking for a solution for connecting the ATV 2 to anything with a component input. I bought this device from Amazon and it works flawlessly with my projector. The adapter is kind of pricey at $50 but it is confirmed to work. The only issue I had was that the picture was slightly off on the left side. I was able to adjust my projector and now the picture is perfect. I'm not sure what happens to the HDCP signal but I can confirm that rented itunes content will also play without a problem.
