Successful 5.0 JB or Were Forced to restore to 5.0.1?

Anyone successfully JB 5.0 using the windows GUI, or were u forced to do a restore, (or two) upgrading to 5.0.1. ?
(I need MN's unlock for Europe next month, and don't wanna risk upgrading the BB)
