My 2014 13" MBP started recently suffering from the dreaded trackpad failure where it starts getting erratic and eventually fails. When I viewed "Devices" in the Console app it would show resetting messages for "AppleUSBMultitouchDriver" constantly.
Eventually the keyboard started acting up to so it simply wasn't a usable laptop. Cutting a long story short, the problem turned out to be the actual trackpad needed replacing. I replaced trackpad and cable and now it's as good as new.
If you're suffering from AppleUSBMultitouchDriver errors with trackpad/keyboard woes then I recommend you check out if this is the problem. As I was out of warranty, I ordered the replacement trackpad off ebay for 30 bucks and did it myself using the iFixIt web guide.
