Well I'm excited, I called Optus and said I wanted my iPhone unlocked. They said to restore my phone in about an hour.

An hour later I restored my phone and iTunes came up with message that said "Your iPhone has been successfully unlocked" Go me.

I don't believe you. :D

True story, I gave them my IMEI and verified it was my phone by telling them who I had last called and they did it for me. I don't know how, but they did.

I'm in Hawaii at the moment using a Tmobile simcard I had from a previous trip to the US.

Why cant AT&T do something like that for us?
Especially for 2G owners that didnt even get a subsidy and they're either still locked with AT&T or they have to deal with hacking/jailbreaking to use other providers.
