Since 5.2 I have been getting what seems like random double taps from my AW4. Never had this BEFORE the update and nothing has changed on the watch (apps or settings). I have gone through every setting on the watch and the iPhone and can't find any place that would do this since I had already turned (what I thought to be) the obvious ones off.

Any less obvious ones anyone can think of? I get a "vibration" from my email and text notifications but no idea where these new taps come from. Seems to be around 30-40 minutes or so apart. SOUND is off on my watch.

Me too. Thought I was crazy, but apparently it's the Watch. Nice feature...

The wife is having random notification sounds on her XSmax too. Just out of the blue, *BOINK*, and no indication on what's causing it. My 8+ sometimes taps too. It's a conspiracy to drive us all insane...

You might want to go through all your notifications and see is something has changed.

After updating, I stopped getting several key notifications with the new update. Like email notifications. Also started getting what seemed like random notifications. Once I figured Apple screwed up settings, and I fixed them, I still was getting odd taps and sounds.

I ended up going through all settings one by one. The update appears to have turned on others a number of things I had turned off.

Some of the random taps, for example, where coming from AOL news updates. Things like "Breath, etc. Meanwhile custom settings on email (I have 3 email addresses) were messed up.... things that are important to me, and I bother to set, research, etc to get right.

It seems that perhaps the update had a problem with customized settings, and at the same same time set other back to default, i.e. on.

Makes you wonder about Apple's leaderships ethics and character: might they intentionally back turn on all the nonsense because the companies that pay heavy fees to get included in what comes installed on Apple iPhones, AW and iPads, find out everyone just turns them off? Maybe they want refunds, so Apple includes re-sets to default on updates?

Same goes for the nonsense Apple creates itself, and makes it hard to get ride of, or even just turn off.

Apple should respect its customers by:

1). Making sure nothing they do overrides customer settings
2). Keeps does not magically turn on junk their customer have turned off just because not enough people use them to justify what they charge these suppliers
