My daughter's Air suddenly started crashing with kernel panics yesterday. Right now it'll panic on boot most of the time, but when it does let you login will crash with in a minute, even with no activity. I've tried to boot to safe mode and recovery and it won't boot to those either.

It's on Sierra. She has a restricted acct, so couldn't have installed anything without a password.

I have an appt w/ a Genius for Tuesday, but in the mean time is there anything I can do?

I had the same situation with my old MBPro. The Apple Genius determined that I needed a new Mother/Logic Board. Check to make sure that Apple still supports your model and will repair it. Otherwise you may need to get it repaired by an outside source.

After testing Apple determined that it was the logic board. It's started to have a lot of graphical satic, lines, etc. So maybe the GPU. Either way ... a $475 depot repair. Seems really high but nothing much to be done. The part alone is $300 ¯\_(シ)_/¯
