Attached is what iTunes looks like in various windows. This happened pretty suddenly.

Of course this makes it difficult to view, and to figure out what playlists I want to sync.

I have already done a reinstall of the application, but to no avail.

Any assistance would be wonderful.

Have you tried theming OS X?

Like you can get programs that theme OS X and this could've caused the black boxes. Personally, I feel that maybe a reinstall of the entire OS is a must to fix this. :/

I didn't do any theming of OS X, have absolutely no interest in it.

Hi,

you have activated the "high-contrast-mode".

1. quit iTunes

2. open the Terminal (Applications / Utilities)

3. paste that command :

Code:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes high-contrast-mode-enable -bool FALSE

4. open iTunes.

Enjoy.

I had to bump this just to say thank you. OMG I've been trying to get rid of this problem for a while. I couldn't even explain how it happened in the first place.
