I've been syncing my contacts via MobileMe for a couple of years now. I have had so many issues with repeats/deletions via ical and now a bunch of my contacts have their data repeated three times.
For instance, their email address now shows three times, as the do phone numbers, addresses, email addresses and Facebook profile link. The contacts show this way across all platforms (iPhone, iPad, MBP). This occurs for some, but not all contacts.
