I am going into town and want to pick up some new DVDs. I dont know what I really want so I thought I would let MR pick for me. No anime please. Other than that, its free game. I love movies and all genres (except anime):D

If you like foreign films check out "Les Chorists", a French film that came out last year about a guy who started a children's choir at a home for wayward boys. Very touching story and lots of nice children's choir music.

I was about to make the same suggestions. But, don't bother with the original version of The Man Who Knew Too Much. The remake with Stewart/Day was much, much, much better.

There are a few other movies that I will mention - Transformers the Movie, The Professional (the international release was better, but is a bit long), the original Gone in 60 Seconds, El Mariachi/Desperado/Once Upon a Time in Mexico

Grizzly Man if you want a beautifully put together look at a very dark side of the human psyche. A very disturbing movie, and all the more so because it's a true story, and you know how it ends from the beginning.

Edit: And props to the people who suggested The Princess Bride and Dress to Kill. Good stuff.

Wow really good suggestions. Probably 75% of the movies suggested I already own ;) but there are few that I searched on IMDB and they look really good. Ill be sure to pick them up.

You will probably LOVE Donnie Darko.

That said, Flight plan was suprisingly good, The Good Girl, Memento (a thinker for sure), frequency is pretty cool...
