Suggest a minimalistic case for iPhone 3GS - Should not add bulk

I recently got an iPhone 3GS for my dad. The seller also gave me 2 Otterbox defender cases for the phone. But that case adds lot of bulk to the phone and i want to buy something that is minimalistic and does not add much bulk.
Any suggestions for the same ?
Will those cheap TPU cases that cover the back work fine ?

Personally, I'd get this. It isn't the very thinnest case, but isn't very bulky and provides good drop protection. Plus, it looks funk-ey

My favorite minimal case and the one I've had on my 3GS for 3 years is this:

Incipio Feather

Minimal case to protect but has a soft matte grip. They do crack after time but for 10 bucks I've had to buy 2 of them over the 3 years.
