I just purchased the new macpro. I need to buy two 24" monitors. My budget for both monitors is $1500. I narrowed down my research to these 3 monitors:

Dell U2413 (Revision A02-manufactured after may 2013)
Nec P242W-BK
Asus PA249Q

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I use Adobe Premiere and After Effects for corporate videos. I also use the Sony PMW-200, and I'm not planning to use 4K footage for a while.

Having said that, I have a second question. Are there any negative issues in using a 4k monitor to view/edit HD footage?

My second option is to get the new Dell UP2414Q (4K), and a 2nd monitor being one of the ones I mentioned on my previous post.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,
Daniel

P242 for me. We have the Spectraview Reference versions at work.

As for the downside of 4k screens, the main issue would be text size etc. but zooming of changing the resolution should sort that out.
