My iMac started to struggle waking from sleep and then lost power a few times during use before cutting out all together. Check the following link.... http://www.apple.com/support/imac/powersupply/repairextension/ ..... check the EMC number, if its '2056' you may not have to pay at all. Hope this helps. Kuska
